I had this problem in my old Explorer. It was an actuator going bad. Fixed the felonious one, never happened again.

well, since last update i had this happen three more times... so i took it to toyo of orlando, where one of these episodes happend when i was explaining the problem to the tech.... after 4 hours of looking through the car... they couldnt find anything so they decided to order new actuators for the door locks.... they are scheduled to go in an friday... hopefully thats the trick....

mine does this, kinda ,only when the door is open, you push the lock down, it pops up, push it down, pops up, people love it, its a fight to see who wins, the car always wins, anyone else??? it pops back up on its own.

I doubt it's the actuators. If they work it's not them. Sounds more like a controller problem. Hope they sort it out for ya.

This is normal if you left your key in the ignition. The system will not let you lock yourself out of the car with the keys in the ignition.
