Default my long road to xBism

Had a 95 Toyota corolla DX? Had the bigger motor all the options etc…

181K
Dead AC
Sticking tranny
Balding tires
Leaking power steering pump

Then the brakes failed on me on the freeway and I hit a g35 (no one hurt), then I had a 2004 5.7 ltr hemi (nothing to do with my name) RAM as a rental. The next week a guy pulled out of a driveway on a major street in front of me and I hit his lovely 8? Ford Aerostar that was already missing most of the panels of the front clip! He tried to flee pretended he didn’t speak English (but its ok this cracka knows enough Spanish) cops came rolled him up ;-).

Any who insurance gave me $2500 for the corolla on my bday and I dropped it on my box, definite UPGRADE!!

Excuse the wordy post but that is the road that brought me to my 05 white xB!

I traded in my 01 Jagaur S-Type for my 05 xB. My grandfather gave me the Jag after it was a year old. It only had 20,000 miles on it when I traded it and was paid for when he bought it. About 2 months before I traded it the tranny on the jag went out but it was still under warranty for only a few more months. Jaguar fixed it and I figured then I needed to get rid of it now and get something for it before the tranny went out again and I would have to pay for a Jaguar transmission. I got a great deal on it though!

I got rid of my Mercedes 190E.....It was an 89 ...lol. It was in great shape on the out side but it was about to take a puke. I really miss the system I had in it. So when it came time to buy a car my first brand new one for the price and style the Box was the abvious choice. I could not be happyer, I find exscuses to drive places.....like comuteing is not enugh.

Sold a 1977 Chevy 1/2 ton van (full size 6cyl short wheel base)-no power steering, no power brakes no A/C and 3speed manual. The whole bottom edge around the entire van was rusting out as well as the lip around the roof. MPG averaged around 8 to 10 MPG with a weekly total of 250mi.My son called it "Full contact driving" .I actually saved $5 per month on household budget, with the new car loan, just in the gas difference!! I love my new Scion, 17500mi since Feb.04
