IMHO black w/polished or chrome lip wheels are way played out. 9 out of 10 turner cars I see while out on the road have these and they all look the same. I say go another route that is different but that's just me.
Oh, you will not like the ride quality of anything over 18's. I have 18" TRDs with Pirelli P-Nero Zero tires and I feel every little road defect right through the steering wheel. My next tires will be slightly taller like 215/40/18 to give some extra sidewall cushion.

so i should just stick with some brand of 18" rims?? how thin are the pirelli's? are nitto tires good? how about toyo? would chrome look okay on the shadow mica xB? i don';t really like graphite or that silver/alloy hubcap color haha

i would go black, solid black, then smoked your tails, as well as your headlights, and tint your front windows to match the rest of the box! it will look sick, i did that to a friends box to see how it would look( i want a shadow mica as well, they were sold out!) got a thunder cloud instead! i did it with mine, but it still looked better on hers! yea every one has played out black rims, but on the right box they STAND OUT! the 18 in trd racing harts are getting pretty played as well btw! it doesnt matter what color you get as long as you try to add one off personal touches! and ____ it its your box anyway, chrome is just too heavy and blingish for me, if thats your thing do it!

In my opinion, chrome mesh wheels would look good but I think 20's look kinda weird on our cars. Like bentobox said, do whatever you like. Just try to find pix of the wheels or similar ones on xBs to get a better idea of what it will look like.

Out of the 2 that you posted, the Tenzo wheels look a lot nicer, but yeah. I'm kinda tired at looking at the black with polished lip wheels. I rather have a solid color all the way through. Gold or bronze would stand out REALLY nice on that xB of yours. (^_^ )

Can't go wrong with chrome wheels on a black vehicle. I'd go with something like 17X7 or 7.5" with 40mm offset and either 215/40/17 or 205/45/17 inch tire. You'd have the right look and comfortable ride too! But that's just me.

Here is a link to your Motegi DP-20 in 17" chrome

I like the chrome also. You might even look into some 19's ? you might find a style you like in that size as well? look on ebay also. You might find something?

18 and above rim will give you a bit of a rougher ride but hey it looks good lol. I used to have 18's The ride was a little rougher but i liked the look of them so it was all good with me

Chip, you just contradicted yourself If the 18"s ride rough why would he want to make the ride even worse with 19"s?

I say go chrome, but do it in either 17's or 18's...I have 17x7's and I just switched from 215/40/17's to a 215/45/17 inch tire...What a difference...If you do go with the 18's. I'd get the taller sidewall, 215/40/18...

As for tires, I had the Toyo Proxes 4's and loved them...
