Default What to do..Poll

I haven't decided what i exactly want to do with my month and a half old box at the moment... I've got wheels covered.. but i was thinking i wanted to do something else, since i got some spare cash and time.. Any ideas? Right now im personally thinking about an Injen SRI or carbon fiber hood, but i can't decide upon which one i want to get. Any help is appreciated,

Andrew

Carbon fiber hood is the most noticeable, so it's what I would start with. Might want to think about price though, to make a decision.

Carbon fiber parts make your car look like you raided a junk yard. Also, it seems that most of the carbon fiber parts for our cars aren't even that much lighter than the factory stuff, so it almost serves no purpose other than having the carbon fiber look. I'd go with the SRI and forget completely about the CF hood. Save your money for more functional parts first, then buy that useless stuff if you like how it looks.

I'd go with the CF hood as well. It adds a different look to the box and it IS lighter than the original stock hood, I should know I have a VIS CF hood on mine.

Actually guys, i jsut got the tanabes today, but i stil lactualyl have money for a carbon fiber hood, which i've now decided i am going to get. The intake deal i was participating in doesn't seem like it's going anywhere, and that was the only reason i was going to get an intake in the first place. Thanks for your opinions, feel free to keep commented on why i should of done the other or vice versa, however.

ANdrew.

It's strictly an opinion thing, but I have to agree that grossly mismatched body parts, ie. the carbon fiber hoods, just make it look like a frankenbox to me. The cleaner look is what I prefer. I guess that is why I still think the Element is quite a bit uglier than our boxes, those plastic body panels just don't do it. As far as the weight, I really hope there isn't anyone out there that is still trying to make our cars "fast". Just isn't going to happen without a major redo. Hehe, not something shaving a pound here or there is going to do .

But if you like the looks of the CF hood, and many do, grats on it and no matter what : Love the Box.
