Default What's it worth, gimme your $o.o2

Hello,

I own a modified tC (which I love) and I have a chance to purchase a 2004 Lava xB from a guy at work. I was hoping to get opinions from the Scion community as to its value.

Here are the stats:
-2004 Special Edition Lava xB
-45,xxx miles
-automatic
-hotchkis strut bar
-bazooka sub system
-illumination
-the dealer sold him a "emmisions control box" to help mpg and power (it sounds to me like a simple air/fuel mod chip. He paid $1600 for a chip!!! Yes, he got ripped!

It has some visible paint damage on 2 corners and some road rash on the hub caps, otherwise in good condition. I did the K.B.B. and NADA thing, but they differ so much and don't seem accurate.

SO WHAT DO YOU THINK???

-thanks for any imput!!!

You would save some $$$ on gas for sure...hubcaps are easy to get, paint damage depending on how bad can be repaired pretty easily. If it were me the price would be the biggest factor.

I would think about 10-12k would be a fair offer depending on the damage.

Oh I'm not getting rid of my tC for the xB. It would be a secondary vehicle! The tC is my baby for goodness sake!

I have a bunch of sleek & classy goodies on it
-19" bronze rims
-camel-colored two tone leather
-draxas exhaust/injen intake
-Tein S-Techs, Hotchkis sways, TRD shocks
-motorized radio door
-puddle lamps
-Viniati V spoiler
-other small stuff that everyone else has

Paid $14,500 for mine with 17K on it from Scion manager (his personal ride) and no damage - mint, not a scrape. Had CAI and some extra trim. This was 15 months ago.

Blue book doesn't rate RS any differently.

IMO can't see paying $12,000 for 45K on an '04. Don't think the Hot Lava adds much to value unless it's absolutely cherry. Still a cool color for the box, thou.
