Why TRD then? Tanabe & Tein have springs in the $150 range. Also why does it have to be AEM? The injen SRS works just as good. So is it the idea of keeping warrenty work easy because these parts are options any ways?

I have K&N and Megan springs, among other things. At my 3 free oil changes, they didn't give a rat's a-- about them. Only if I have problems that they can prove are related to the parts I've installed do warranties come into play. Is there a warranty from Toyota on AEM and TRD if you bought it elswhere and someone else installed them?

I dont think so. It would still be looked at as aftermarket, because it was not ordered when the car was bought. Now I think if you had the dealer possibly install the items, then it might be able to be under warrenty.
