what about the wiring harness, will i need two of them also, i am not about to fry my electrical by just doing the "plug and play" way, i was just wondering if there was a way i could splice into the harness i already have, and CREEPINGONCHROME, thats a really good place to mount the ballasts, i really never thought of putting them there, i have mine on my strut towers and there is no room for another set...

i have hids in both sets of lights, and i did use two sets of relay wiring harnesses from mobilehid. they are only 20 bucks a piece, and in my application, i NEEDED them. for some reason, the stock wiring harneses for the fogs and headlights did not send enough power to ignite the ballasts. only problem is i have a big mess off wires under the hood near the battery, cause the relay harnesses are kinda thick. as far as placement, i put the fog ballast on the fuse box near the batterey, and for the passanger side i stuck it somewhere by the headlight, i dont have any pics

here is a pic with them both on, just to show how cool it is, you can see the mess of red wires, thats from the two seperate relay harnesses from mobilehid.com

yeah thats a really clean look right there...if i didnt know better i would say you had tint on your headlights also...could be wrong...but now that i know the "how" part...i got to figure out the "what" part...do i want to go with the Yellow ones like in the ls300....or go with the 8000k to match my headlights...i am going to search for a picture of a box with the yellow HID fogs and compare it to yours and see what i like more...thats a tough decision if you ask me

the inside of the headlights are painted black, there is no tint over the headlight. the 9006 hid bulbs for the fogs where left overs from my tc, thats why i have the 6000k for the fogs, otherwise i would have used yellow hid bulbs for the fogs, like what your thinking. since you have 8000k, i think your only option is going with 8000k in your fogs(which might be too much blue) or going with yellow. i think you should do the yellow.

have you seen those fog caps that change light color, w/o yellow film overlay?

anyway, i have 8000k in the heads and something over 12000k in the fogs, but with my film overlay, the blue turns green, and the purple turns white....

when you install HID's for the headlight, do you have to cut any wires?

It probably depends on what kit you purchase. Most kits I have looked at are plug and play. I know the kits from www.oznium.com are all plug and play. Plus they have a great warranty........

i would always recommend using a relay, if you want to have working headlights and not fried wires under your hood i would definitely do the relay (i know this from experience) : (
