Default will this cause airflow problems to the engine ? need answer

what would happen if you were to shave both of the lower honeycomb grills on the xB

would that cause air flow issues to the car .. would the engine become problematic ?

i know that they are there for a reason but are they REALLY that nessecary ?

thanx

yes you do! Common sense tells me that right behind those grills sits the radiator. Im guessing that the radiator needs air to cool the enigine

well it appears from looking at pics of the NOBLESE that you could at lease shave the middle one ... also look at the pic of the kit .. u cant tell me the radiator is sitting as low as that opening ...

notice that there is only one opening for the air flow there

Hell yeah you need these openings. The car will overheat if you don't.

dont be fooled into thinking im an idiot that dosent understand how airflow and radiators work

my question was merely .. are the honeycomb holes mostly there for looks (apparent by looking at the noblese and other kits)

it appears that both of them while they serve a purpose .. are not 100% nessecary as there are plenty of kits with only one opening for air flow

What do you mean by 'Shave". I replaced both of my lower grills with a material that has smaller round holes closer together than the honeycomb. No overheating here in FL.

well, When you said "shave" - that implys to me that you are covering up those openings.

You could probably do something custom, and still allow some airflow in...
