I just recently purchased a set of chrome door caps and I was wondering if anyone else that has installed these can help me figure out if I am just not pushing down hard enough or if tape needs to be used to hold these things on.
I really don't want to use to much force but I want to install the things and it is driving me nuts.

I appreciate any suggestions

must use tape.. only thing really that holds it on..

 

thank you, it was making me a little angry and I didn't want to use tape and find out I did not need to.

 

Mine just snaped on no tape here and never comes off.

The box they come with is the right width cardboard to stick in the caps and then slide them over the locks. I also used a little rubber cement. Can take them off at any time and the glue just rubs off.

Had a co-worker yank one off on Thursday in the back seat. Couldn't wait for the auto-lock to pop.....

 

My boo boo's just snaped right on.
