Default Winter mode is in effect.

Did a little work today.

Winter mode is in effect.......oil change, steelies back on, all-weather floormats installed, fresh Rain-X on the windshield, and a fresh wax job.

Bring on the white stuff!

Before pic. I want my wheels back! Come on spring!!

First winter for the box, huh??

You'll simply be amazed at how good it goes it the snow. I do the same thing and put on 4 snows on steels for the winter. My toaster goes better than any winter car I ever owned, and it come close to going as good as my old Jeep !!

In Maine we have two seasons..... Winter and July...

I read in the paper recently that they had surveyors out on the Maine / New Hampshire line... while surveying, one surveyor found that an old timer's property lines were in New Hampshire instead of Maine. He knocked on the door to tell the old timer about it.... he said, "I don't know how you are going to take this, but we have found that you live in New Hampshire, and not in Maine." The old timer looked at the guy and said, "Well, God bless you son, I don't think that I could have taken another Maine wintah"

YEAH, winter SUCKS......I just went from my 18" TRD's down to my hubbies

Oh well, I did notice that my 18" wheels actually came out flush with the wheel wells!

My OEM wheels are inside the wheel wells by a good inch!- the good thing about this is when they gravel the roads for the snow, NONE of it gets flung on the sides of my xB!

Lucky bastid!!

Here in KY, we get it all. Stupid hot in the summer and cold/snow/ice in the winter with everything in between in the spring and fall. Hence the "winter mode"......just to play it safe.

Yep...sure does. Sometimes quite a lot.

People have the illusion that Kentucky is way south. But we're really not that far down. I can drive to Lake Erie in about 4 hours.

We only get two seasons in Anchorage Ak. Winter, and construction.
We had our first major dump of snow this past weekend and this car gets around as well as my 4X4 s10 pickup did. It sure as heck corners on ice better!! THe only thing my s10 did better was straight line acceleration in 4 wheel drive. If i truley winterize my car it would have an exoskeliton steel fram around it so no one could crash into it. Oh and a way to block those rocks from hitting the windshield!! UGH got my first rock chip the other day.

I noticed xB_Factor didn't put the stock springs back on. Good luck with that as long as you don't go north. I'm going up to Deetroit for Christmas and don't want to take any chances with deep snow. I put the steelies and stock springs back on till the end of March. I think I will skip it next year.

Yeah....didn't bother with the springs. Besides, they're just H-Techs....nothing dramatic. This won't be the first lowered car I've driven in the snow.

But, all the same, there are no nothern excursions planned for this winter......well, at least not in the Toaster.

Hey WI Matt! I was suprised to see the snow this morning...didn't think of taking a pic of my xb though...I was suprised at how it drove in the snow, although 1.5 inches is nothing compared to some of the storms last year.

Ha Ha, Just wait till the VSS starts going off. It will freak you out at first. When I first heard it I was like WTF is that.
