Winter mode is in effect.
we've had a couple storms in parts of town that dumped 6-8 inches. We got another 6-8 today for the second time this season with 1" dustings in between. I'm loving the box! I'm having to go around SUV. This thing kicks butt in snow. And this is coming from someone who has only previously driven 4 wheel drive trucks in the snow. Once it gets moving it's awesome and the traction control really does help. Today was a good test with the plows not getting to the residential areas yet and glare ice underneath the thick heavy snow.
I'll second Mr. akxb's comments: These cars do very well in the snow. My smartass comments aside, we get a lot of wet, heavy snow where I am. Cars and trucks get stuck here all the time. Why? Because people don't know how to drive them. My xA driven by me is better than an H2 driven by any other idiot, because I take the time to think about what to do and what not to do. Hell, if 12 inches of snow and icy roads beneath don't stopy my xA, then we know that the xB would be even better with the traction control.
Bottom line: It's a front-wheel-drive vehicle. If you have the right tires, and more importantly, the right driver, you will be able to reach your destination safely.
