a few of us have 'em. They're as easy as stock. The only problem I have is they make a little noise. But, I WD40 them once a month and that keeps 'em quiet. Check my profile for picks

I have them on mine. They are the real aluminum racing discs, not the snap-on variety, so I made a center mount that bolts to the wheel and takes a dzus fastener for the cap. That was a lot of hassle but I have the look I want (disk inside the wheel lip) They are much less susceptable to curb rash than the stock caps.

They look good, washing the wheels is a snap, and they are color matched to my PW xB, giving it a unique look.

I bought them from EMPI. Cost about $50 or so.

Hippy -

I've got baby moons on my xB. They're one-piece full wheel covers that have the baby moon in the middle, with a trim ring. They're polished stainless steel, with clips that keep it VERY secure to the stock steel wheel. I had to buy some valve stem extensions, but that was about it.

I got mine from JCWhitney. Do a product search on wheel covers, and they'll pop up. They also have the salt-flat style full wheel covers too. It's funny driving my xB around here (Norfolk, VA) with those baby moons. The car, with it's "love it or hate it" style, gets lots of looks, and a lot of double takes with those baby moons!

Here are mine

https://www.scionlife.com/gallery/sh...cat=500&page=1

They're Moon Eyes snap-on aluminum disks. $28 each. Clear powdercoat.

You can also get the bolt-on kind from them. To mount those you drill three holes in the lip of the wheel and use sheet metal screws (or someting similar) with LocTite.

For good measure, here's a pic of the new grill I put on:

And yet another satisfied JC Whitney and eBay customer! Enjoy!

Default Wait till my daughter hears about this !

Hello All,

I’m flying down to Cali tomorrow morning to pick up my XB. I was just telling my daughter I’d like to put some smoothie wheels on with trim rings and wide whitewalls. Start doing the 50’s lead sled look to it. She punched me and said I was going to wreck it ! Wait till I tell her about you guys with the Salt Flats discs, got some of those in the shop along with some lakes pipes and dumby spot lights.

Anyone seen one done up like a woodie wagon ? I mean REAL WOOD on the side, not paint or vinyl. Not like the cheap looking PT Cruisers. I’m kicking that idea around in my head also. Slap on a roof rack & surf board and I’ll look like a real geek up here in the NorthWest !!!!

See Ya, Jesse

I'd really like to do the old smoothies thing. In fact I called a place that sells 'em, today. Turns out I'd have to get some adapters to get 'em on ( $50 a pop). It'd wind up costing about $700 bucks all together. I don't think I love my car THATmuch. But, I've got some old school mirrors coming and I was thinkin about gettin some lancer style caps instead of my moon units. Welcome aboard! Be sure to post some pics when your kid really hates it.

I used white lithium grease (spray can with tube) on mine and I haven't had to re-lube them yet. Been about 4 months at least.
