They are built on the same frame. The xA is lighter though.

xA = Ugly bastard cousin of the xB (fortunately even CARS can have cosmetic surgery...in that case...there is still hope for the dadless lil fella)

regardless of what came first...

Eggs get old and stinky...then you throw them away..

...the box lasts forever and can be used for many other arts and crafts activities!

I'll be honest...I absolutely HATE them stock...although, even if they are just dumped...they start to look pretty good.

All they need is a small drop and they look great. At stock height, they are rediculously tall.

We have both the xa and xb. There are more similarities than differences. The xa is a different kind of nimble than the xb. Both handle EXTREMELY well. The xa is a little more jerky in its steering response....meaning a tiny turn of the wheel and youre there. The xb is a little smoother in every respect. The xa throw for shifting is a little shorter than xb too. The interior of the xa, though the same "pebbly" plastic, feels a touch more plasticy....a little harder, or more shiney...not sure what it is. Xa a little better gas mileage. All in all, due to the comfy, upright seating, comfortable steering wheel, nice stereo...they feel very similar to sit in. Tons more room in the xb. You cant touch the windshield sitting in the xb....heck, you can barely reach the visor and mirror. In the xa, it feels like that stuff is right in my face. The view to the outside world in an xb can NOT be beat. Also, the keyless remote for the xb is a nice plus. All in all, we got two brand new cars, proven reliability kings (Echo), great mileage, great stereo, comfy seats, for less than $28,000. Thats both cars of course!! Easy to pay that much for One!

We own both too. They each have their strong points. The xA is quicker because it's lighter. That also gives it slightly better milage. To me, the xA has a more solid feel to it.
The xB has the obvious interior space / cargo hauling advantage. It also feels a little more cushy and comfortable to drive.
We love 'em both! Oh, one more thing...it takes a lot less time to wash the xA.

^ gr8 overview. I picked the xb over the xa due to the fact that it's enormous inside. i'm 6'1" which isn't huge but still, i wanna be comfortable. i am into many boxy/square shapes (i have an h2 hummer, everything in my apartment is square) so the xb fit the build.
