xB + Borla + highway = ??
I've pretty much nailed down my exhaust of choice to the Borla. I like the sound and the tip looks great in the OEM cutout. My question goes to (and yes I searched on this) those with a 5-speed xB and the Borla single exhaust. Is there any interior droning from the exhaust between 60-80 mph? Would you say the interior sound level is pretty much equal to that of the stock muffler at highway speeds?
Thanks
Thanks

There is definitely a "resonance" with the Borla as with every aftermarket exhaust. I happen to really like the sound it puts out. I don't think it is too loud, thats one of the reasons I got the Borla. I think that the sounds and vibrations that different exhausts emit change the driving experience (even if its not from a performance level). I really like the Borla and I think that you would be hard pressed to find one that is deeper and mellower. Anyways this is all subjective, but the only way to get one that sounds like stock on the highway is to stay with stock. I have my Borla hooked up in conjunction with a DC header and Injen short ram and its not bad at all at highway speeds. Even at 80 mph things are chill once you are cruising in fourth gear. Perhaps the only time that its a bit loud is when you hit the Overdrive Off button to ramp up to speed or when really gunning it while in third. However, I bet thats the case with any aftermarket exhaust.
Yeah I do realize highway resonation is a byproduct of any aftermarket muffler. From my experiences some are worse than others. I was just curious if the Borla was uber annoying on the highway. Thanks for the feedback folks!
