I dont know....Ive done it at least 50 times with no issues at all. Then again, I dont do it around where I live or work.

You are saying you have to be Christian and rich to vote Republican? Funny...I am neither and I would have voted Republican for Ron Paul.

If they tailgate me while I am driving I slow down without using my brake. If it happens at a red light to the point that it annoys me when the light turns green I just sit there for a little while.

Even I know that being republican and being conservative aren't the same thing. I live in a town full of ignorant, bigoted, bible-thumping gun nuts. It's all about context.

I like to coast-in-gear when I get tailgated, too. I'm waiting to get hit and accused of not having functional brake lights. Like, this morning, doing 45 in a 40 wasn't good enough for the ONE person in the county that speeds. So, I kept going slower, and slower, down to 35ish. Ha.

Ya let the tail gater get blame for the hit on you car, and sue them for hitting your back of your car.

Hmm, all this time I thought those suv were trying to draft off me...

Seriously though, I just move out of the way if I am in one of the fast lanes. My ego is not that big. My car is a collectors item, and I want to keep it accident-free.

The upside squirter mod is just a bad idea. There are too many psychos out there that will harm you or your vehicle. Just not worth it. I know its hard sometimes, but be nice to your fellow drivers out there.

I don't understand the people that feel 35-45 is the only way to go in residential/25's. Not gonna save much time with stop signs every block. Good luck with killing the brakes as well...

If there is some distance to go I will go over the 25 but not when it's speed bumps or stop signs every block.

I hate the people who go through school zones at 20 mph when it's marked with the sign "while children are present" and yet there are no children-I won't tail gate them but sometimes come right up on them because they are too stupid to read and I don't expect it. Same thing if they go 20 and it's like 9:00pm-I doubt anyone is still in school.

I don't tailgate but there are so many stupid driver's here (well, just a lot of stupid people) and they slow down for something that only they can see (invisible clowns maybe) so you end up too near them-I just try to avoid driving around as many people as possible, try to find my own little safety bubble (on the highway) and stay at that speed where no one gains from behind and I stay a ways back from the ones in front of me.

There are two kinds of drivers: Arseholes and Idiots. The Arseholes are going faster than I am . . . "Look at that Arsehole! He's gonna crash for sure!!" The Idiots are going slower than I am . . . "Move outta the way! IDIOT!!"

Actually, there's a third kind: the reasonable drivers who are going the same speed I am. But since they never pass me or are passed by me, I never see them on the road; so as far as I am concerned, all other drivers are either Arseholes or Idiots . . . .

It's also fun to surprise them and lose tailgaters through a few turns. The xB can hang pretty well.

Yep....I speed up a whole bunch before sharp curves cause the xB takes them with no problem. It's funny to watch most other vehicles in the rear view when they are matching your speed in the curves...
Yeah big SUVs with 400hp are just terrible, they can't maintain momentum. They are probably thinking, "that square car can do that?"

Like some of you have stated, I really think it's cause of having no trunk, it gives the perception of almost everyone tailgating us. To ward of these tailgaters, I'll drive slower...
Works everytime!

Believe it or not, This has been a major problem that irritates me, I used to think it was all in my head , but it just seems that no matter how fast I am going people just go around me, I literally watch people in their suvs coming to swurv around me only to be stopped by the next slow car in the lane over and then make their way back in then they go back in and cut you off and give you that stare , that blank stare like you just did something wrong in life lol.
anywayz I did some thinking and like it was said earlier, the rear LED tail lights slowed things down a bit, mayb the stocks are just too weak and other drivers wanna take advantage

I'd like to install a momentary push button hooked to the brake light wire, so you can press it while not actually applying the brakes. They'll be surprised when your brake lights are on but you're accelerating!

I have a good fix for the tailgaters, if I know who they are, I'll switch to the big red truck(fire tanker) and I'll tailgate them, pull the airhorn cable down and leave it down so you got that nice loud horn wailing in your ear, then when I pass them, I'll slow down to oh 5 mph and laugh

now I did travel to cornway one night with a few scikos and this dick his lifted ford 4x4 with his brights, and 8 sets of fogs on, were shining in my back window, I'd move over so he would pass, he'd move over behind me, we found a way to get rid of him, I moved over and a tc took my spot then slowed from 80 down to 10, he got ____ed, came flying around the c in the median, in the mean time I had almost turned off on the wrong exit, and moved back over(with signals on) wound up not only driving him in the ditch, but his big ___ 4x4 sank in the lake he drove it into while trying to run me off the road

let me tell you, the look on tailgaters faces after hitting them with windshield washer fluid is priceless. yes i agree this is probably not the smartest thing to do in todays society, but sometimes you just dont give a f*ck.

Forget about the rear windshield sprayer.
Think Out of the Box!

I want to see Optional Gadgets available like
in James Bond's Aston-Martin from GOLDFINGER

I would love to have the wheel spinner Tire-Cutters!

LOL

Every time a tailgater jumps on my rear, I maintain my current speed and throw on my hazards. Like saying "If I'm going too slow for you, then go around."

I especially LOVE doing this on two lane roads; that way it isn't as easy to switch in to another lane going the same direction... because there isn't one HAHA! That usually gets them off the a$$.
