Default xB help!!!!

I put an ebay intake on my box a lil while ago and ever since I did it every time I the car is cold and I step on the gas I get a really bad hesitation. the only way i dont get it its if I press the pedal really slow. its driving me crazy. I have almost got into accidents cause I'll go into traffic and press the gas but the car wont go. Anyone else having or had this problem cause I'm getting ready to take the intake out. THX all

I would certainly remove the new intake and put it back stock ....too see if the problem goes away. If it does dump the ebay intake. If it doesn't look some more till you find and fix it then try the intake again.

Could be. To try to find one, Listen close for a hiss. Try spraying a little carb cleaner around vacuum line connections etc while idling, if the idle changes when you spray a spot you may have found a vacuum leak. Look particularly around where you moved stuff when installing the intake. I had a Chevy Astro van that had this same problem and if I remember correctly, it had a problem with the vacuum lines. I ended up selling the POS because I grew tired of it. It did the same thing esp. when I hit the gas it would hesitate for a second then haul a**.

I don't remember messing with any vacuum lines while installing my short ram intake. I'm leaning toward the MAF sensor not getting an accurate air measurement due to intake design or lack thereof.

Awesome guys thx. I'll start checking for leaks and if I dont have any its going back to stock. I wanted an Injen intake eventually anyways.

i had the same problem actually with my astro and the xB weird lol, i have the AEM CAI the long ___ one that puts the intake down by the wheel well, and stock for the astro thats where the intake is, i sucked up water both times, and i was told the AEM one in the box has a water like stopper so it wont move any further, but it went and i bought it to the dealer and i fried some sensor.. so thats just my 2 cents im not sure where your intake comes out at but maye water?

I would avoid spraying carb cleaner on your lines....

water will do the same thing and is a lot less corrosive

I can't help you but just remember this: never buy anything for your car from eBay.

You should pick up one of those YDR Injen knock off intakes. I love mine and throttle response is awsome.
