Default xB hood scoop?

im thinking about putting a scoop on my hood to break up the OEM-ness.. what do u think about this:

its similar to the raised scoops you see on a lot of celicas so i guess it's somewhat universal. im not too crazy about it yet but it usually takes time for stuff to grow on me. any input???

I personally think a hood scoop is a bit out of place on an xB, but I do like the way they look. Gives the xB a more aggressive look. The one in that picture looks great. Is it functional? or just eye candy.

They look wierd and tacked on, but it's working on that car.

Note the spinners on the truck next to it.

ive always said that i'd stick with the OEM look, but im getting a little bored with it. in the pic, nothings functional. neither the scoop nor hood has been cut out, but they would be if i decided to go with this look.

but.... im also thinking about a scoop thats a little more subtle.

eh?? well... the one in the pic is fiberglass. cf would be cool. i threw it onto a few different cars and it sat pretty flush on all of them so i guess it can go on just about any car.

Turn the scoop around and put your guages in there? Just a thot.

I'm looking for a cf grill like that one too. I saw one via one of these sites 2 weeks ago. I'm desparately trying to find it again. My wife said 'yes' for me getting the cf hood and spoiler for my RS02!
