Default XB Rattle (DIY FIX)

I have owned my BSP '05 XB since April 30th. Ever since that day I have been constantly bothered by an annoying rattle in the rear cargo area. The dealer looked at it and said it was my brake light wiring and put more insulation around the wiring. This did not stop the rattle. Last week, I finally tore apart the rear floor and realized the jack lever or tire iron (I don't remember which) is mounted on the underside of the driver's side floor panel and when going over bumps (or even cracks in the pavement) the vibration causes the tire iron to clank on the spare tire donut rim.

To make a long story short, I put a cheap floor mat between the floor panel and spare tire. Clanking is stopped.

Hope this helps others with this problem! I know I have seen a number of others complaining about similar rattles.

At this point, maybe. I just got your PM, thanks.

Parades are definately fun. I would love to meet the other NE Scion owners and check out everybody's cool rides.

Put me down for a maybe.
