Hey guys, I'm not sure if theres been any info on a possible xB RS 3.0, but in any case, I've always wondered what a burnt red xB would look like. I didn't really find any pics of one online, but figured it would look pretty cool since the color of the xB RS 1.0 (hot lava) seems to work well. I grabbed a random pic of a hot lava xB and photoshopped it a bit to a burnt red color (Hot-er Lava?).

I kind of like the results and would totally be into buying an xB this color if it was ever offered. I know its not perfect and not a huge color change, but I think it gets the idea across.

Thoughts?

i believe that's what the salsa red xB is going to look like. Go to Toyota's website and look at the Prius under Salsa Red. That's an 06 color and not an RS.

 

yea basically salsa red. its been pretty much a consensus that it sounds like the RS3 is green mica i thought.

Well I know the top pic (orange) is an RS 1.0. And salsa red isn't a color option for the 06 xB (or its news to me and all the local dealers).

Ya, I think I heard rumblings of green mica for the RS3, but nothing definate. I would love to get my hands on a "salsa red" xB, but I don't see that as an option for 06.

 

Salsa Red IS one of the new colors coming out. Make sure your local dealers aren't keeping their mouths shut on purpose so no one holds off three more months!

It is coming the color is an option available here and in CA I know for sure and it says xB on the back. :D

Its a bit darker sparklier red than the one up there but the same concept IMO. :D


Do a search on Salsa Red....you'll find we've beaten that horse to death and back!

 

Wow, that is so great. Thanks so much for the info! No-one said anything about that at all, and I'm getting to the point where I'll be buying an xB soon (most likely new).

Is there a reason for a change in the colors available? Because obviously people are able to order 06's with color choices from the scion website...I'm just wondering when I can order a "salsa red" xB.

 

Your sig says you're in So Cal...go to Longo or other MAJOR dealership and you should be able to see the color posted right along with the rest of the colors.

For some reason unbeknownst to ME, they are replacing Camo and Black Cherry with Shadow Mica and Salsa Red. The new colors SHOULD hit the ds in January.

Go get an xB! lol Dont wait....you wanna drive one NOW dont you! lol
