Just got my sunroof installed at Toyota.

Install looks very clean, including the interior control panel. It's 25 degrees in Northern VA right now, so I didn't get to play with it much.

But so far I am satisfied with it.

$1200 installed and it was included in the purchase price.

Money well spent, IMO.

I seen this one on the showroom floor exactly like this....rack, sunroof ,wheels, theworks! Sticker said 23k This is the only one Ive seen with a sunroof.

I was suprised to see this photo of it, I wondered how long it would sit there.

 

ok ... i repeat once again ... did not pay $23k ... come on, it was a demo ... and it's been in my driveway for 4 months ... and it don't look exactly like that anymore :twisted:

 

Im glad to hear you didnt pay 23k. It just happened to be the most loaded Ive seen on the showroom and it blew me away.

 

the only options it dosn't have are the trd drop/shocks, trd clutch, leather, and them silly stickers (the only one i've seen that i liked was Ad-rocks and just wouldn't work w/ the BSP) since i have added the steering wheel

the price the dealer was ask'n was ridiculous .... they wanted $500 for a welded on tip and double charged for approx. $1k of options .... silly dealer trick are for kids ....

yeah ... said it was the trd exhaust .... looked and saw no etching on the side .... looked under the car and there sat the stock muffler .... when i talked with the sales guy he said "No ... that the trd exhaust" .... now i've been racing toyotas for 5 yrs now and building engines for 16 (built my first car engine @ 10 w/ my dad ... first bike engine @ 9 ... rebuilt my first carb w/ a lot of help @ 6) so i just laughed at him and said if he wanted to sell the car he'd start knockin off crap like that

 

I'm gonna wreck havoc if they try to pull ____ on me. I'm really looking forward to seeing two shipping charges...

 

ok, back on topic:

Sorry guys, but I couldn't get high enough above my xB to take good pics of the sunroof (none worth posting anyways). I couldn't even get the green illumination from the buttons to show in the pic either. So I'll play with my camera this weekend and try to get some decent pictures for you to see.

Some other good info regarding the sunroof:
The Toyota installed sunroofs are guaranteed to be leak-proof and have a lifetime warranty. (that's what sold me on it)
