There are plenty of topics about this that tend to pop up this time of year.

Bottom line... they do great!

Here is one of several such posts:

I've been commuting in the snow and ice 100 miles a day on a windy highway. Passed a few wrecks, but my xB stays the course. I run stock tires on stock rims with no problem. In the past I've driven cars with rear and front wheel drive with and without snow tires and studs. This cars runs well. Just don't be any dumber than before.

I totally agree with what grounded said about the snow tires on the steelies, and I posted it in the thread that max referenced.

Ground clearance without lowering is about 6 inches so watch out for fender ice chunks on the road or you could take out your lowers. I miss the ability to spin the back end around with the parking brake - Darn ABS VSC kicks in and stops the spin.

We had a foot of snow recently and the next day, it all froze. I busted up (totally fixable) my rear fender while backing up and can't believe the front didn't do the same.

We put studded snow tires on the TCM and I was able to deliver my newspaper route like a rockstar... if rockstars were to have paper routes, that is.
