Default your xb and climate change

has anyone seen this website

http://www.terrapass.com/carboncalc.html

It has a calculator that tells you (about) how much carbon your car emits. My auto 2005 xb contributed 5,928 lbs of carbon to the atmosphere last year. Its alot better than most cars, but not quit as good as a civic, or even a corolla. but it is a heavier car. We might even get a tax break if we lived in Canada or Europe.

At least we aren't driving hummers, which emit three times as much.

I don't know if i feel guilty enought to buy a terra pass, but this certainly is interesting.

Most of that carbon is emitted as carbon dioxide. I wouldn't feel guilty. It's not like your tailpipe put three tons of soot into the air.

I wouldn't sweat it. Even a toyota prius driven 12,000 miles puts out 4226 lbs a year.

You're about as eco-friendly as it gets without being in a sailboat. Or on a bicycle.
