That's pretty expensive for plastic. Based on the finish, you'll notice that it is painted via a shiny silver rattle can such as Krylon.

Buy the black version of that grille instead for $49 (plus shipping):

After purchasing, go out and buy your own chrome silver paint and paint it yourself for much cheaper. Then clearcoat it. That'll save you a considerable amount of money. And for two plastic grilles that snap into the standard grille slots, that's not a bad price at all for an upper and lower grille.

I've been trying to see if anyone is using that grill...I would get the grillcraft mx series but I never worked on cars, I mean I can pick things up quickly, so I'm a little afraid.

Oh, and I don't mind paying extra $ for a non-cutting grill

Well the Grillcraft and the above generic-equivalent grilles are designed to be bolt-in: they will use the same connectors that the stock OEM grille uses.

It isn't difficult taking apart the front bumper of the car. There are guides on ScionLife for doing this. The only tools you need are a 10mm wrench, a standard Phillips screwdriver, and a plastic trim panel tool. When the bumper is removed from the car, you simply unclip the old grille and snap in the new grille. It wouldn't take more than 20 minutes to do the whole thing, and this would include the time it takes to take the whole bumper off as well as putting it back on.

The mesh one is bolt on? I thought you had to cut the OEM grill? I tried looking for a just bolt on mesh grillcraft grill all I seem to find is the one that needs the OEM grill cut

I have the black version of this grill and it is actually very sharp looking. It was easy to install the top grill without any modifications or bumper removal. I only used the top grill because I put in OEM foglights on the bottom.

Do you have some pictures?

You are entirely correct except that the unpainted one charges $15 for shipping while the fake chrome version is shipped for free. That only makes a difference of $5 between the two. So if you wanted a cheap plastic, chrome-looking grill, it'd probably be worth the $5 extra to have it already spray painted out of the box.

The black version looks like a winner to me. Beats spending >$150 on a metal version of the same thing, unless you regularly hit heavy things with your grill, lol.

i think the grill could stand up against something with decent weight flying at it. i have one and its a pretty hefty grill for being plastic. i was actually surprised with the quality of it considering how much i paid for the set.

Here is my grill from eBay. Upper and lower tig welded aluminum then powder coated gloss back. The bottom grill is an overlay that fits snug and held in place by some black zip ties (can see them at all) the upper I had to drill 4 small holes and it bolted on place. Very nice! Hand made in the USA! 115$ Shipped!
