Default blowin foglight fuse with HID's

so stock fogs worked great with HID's until i flicked em on onetime with the headlights as i was starting the car. it blew the 15amp fuse.... which makes sense since the the HID's can draw as much as 20amps on start-up. anyone else have this issue?

not here, and I run my fogs all the time with the HIDs, then again, I'm also running the HID through a relay and not directly off the headlight harness

Yeah, I'm totally fine, I have 2 HID kits on my car. Headlights and foglights... still no problem!

Yeah, I had that problem with my xa.They worked the first few times, then bam, blows fuses. The manufacture I got them from recommended using a larger fuse, I bought a relay kit from another vendor.

OK, so I see maybe THIS is the thread for me to post this question.

I've got 8000k HID's, and want to make my Fogs HID's as well (Matching)

on the next gen xB's are the Fogs H3's or H11's?

Are you saying you put a higher amperage fuse in to prevent the fuse from blowing and you are using the stock harness with HID's in your fog lights??

You need a relay in there. It does not sound like you have one. There are many horror stories about melting down the stock wiring harness by trying to use it alone with HID's.

There are a few HID experts here that should chime in here if I read your post correctly.

I had an hid vendor tell meto do that as his hids take 15 amps each at start up, but they settled down as they brighten up. I went with another hid vendor and bought a relay cable.
