Default Chrome door handle install help?

Okay, RandomSuper is making me feel like an idiot because he said this was a no brainer install. I just took a part my rear door panel and noticed the back of the handle is not even exposed. Can someone throw me a bone?

Are there 2 torx bits I need to unscrew to remove the rear door handle? I know one of them is easily accessible behind the plastic liner, and now that you mentioned it, I did see a rubber grommet near the other end of the door handle, but not necessarily in the door jam. I will try again...

I think that rubber gromet is the one you take out for the key whole cover, I think I saw that in the DIY at Cluxb.com

I wish I would've seen that thread a lil' earlier, but I installed the door handles on Saturday morning while drinking good ol' coffee from Starbucks. You're right though, for the front doors handles, you have to remove the grommet in the door jamb. For the rear door handles, you have to use a T40 torx bit to remove the locking mechanism to get to one of the screws behind the rear door handle.

Installation time took about 1 hour...

Here's the progress so far... I'm either thinking of going wingless or getting the Rumion wing. Cost should be about the same since I have the patch the holes from the stock wing I got now...

Good thing you got new rims then! To be honest, it really sucks NOT to roll hard. They say rims make the car, but really, stance makes the car. The fact that I can't stance out my car just makes it look so-so. Either way, I think this is the nicest it's going to look without air or coilovers once I get rid of my stock wing somehow.

For now, I'm thinking about re-tinting all my windows, only keeping the chrome door handles, adding the Rumion visors, and then going wingless.
