Default Pics of my new grill

so yeah everyone knows the stock grill

i ordered this from http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SCION...spagenameZWDVW

Figure Engineering

Fitment was GREAT. you take the old grill off, and the lil tabs that the old grill clipped onto, you drill a 1/8" hole on the tab and zip tie the new grill onto it. the grill doesn't move at all once all zip ties have been used and installation was a breeze. no problems at all. i ordered it with the options of getting gloss black paint, red xb emblem, lifetime warranty, side vent set, and it ran me $251.25 shipped for all 4 pieces.

i'll have better pics when i wash it this weekend... sorry for the dirty xb pics :-\

don't like chrome... i'm taking all my shiny emblems off anyway.. plus i'm going with black/red in the car... so figured i'd add a lil red on the outside

yeah i could've bought the material... but it's ok... it's not just flat sheets... and no sharp edges... each grill piece is curved and bent at the corners to lock into the notches that the factory grill slides into... and i got it painted.. and lifetime warranty.. so if i hit something or something hits it and messes it up, then i'll just ship it back and get a new one.. and not have to worry about making another or painting or any of that

thanks for the comments

I really like these grills. They make the front end look more agressive than it already is. I just can't bring myself to drilling holes in my brand new car. I've always liked a black and red theme so great job there!

Did you cut out the faux side vents or did these just lay over them?

the old vents pop out.. and the little tabs that the factory grill snap into, you drill a small hole in it.. 1/8" hole actually.. and factory grill can still go back in and you won't see the holes

Oh ok cool, i didn't know those little side vents popped out. I knew the holes got covered if you put the stock one back in, i just don't want a power drill near my bumper. Maybe after i get a few thousand more miles on it i'll relax a little.
