"HID" reverse lamp
Here's the reverse light thread:
brightest solution for replacement back-up light (7440 bulb)
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=199001
Page 13 has the HID info from marcemarcxB08, but be aware that the bulb was never properly mounted, it was just pushed up into the housing.
LED bulbs appear brighter when you are looking at them, but they throw off much less visible light over a distance. There's lots of info on this in the thread.
The CATZ T-20 bulb imported by Sigma Automotive is the only 7440 mount halogen bulb (25 watts) that is available. It is advertised as producing 39% more lumens than the stock incandescent bulb, but nobody has been willing to spend the $47 + shipping to find out.
