Wassup Scioners!! I bought those cheap tails on Ebay a while ago (LEDs for Brakes/Running, 1157/1156 for Signal/Reverse). Pass side Brakes just went out about 2 wks now and can't seem to figure out the prob. I put the stock back and works fine/put the LEDs back and same problem...any advice...also, tried to pry open to better diagnose but the darn lens are on pretty tight!

 

did you use a resistor because they are LED's?
if not, use the search feature at top of page, and find the right resistor you need.

 

shouldn't there have been resistors built-in already?? maybe, that's the case...i'll try the search...they actually aren't burnt out but are dimmly lit at night when the brakes are pressed, they would inconsistently come on whenever...so I took them off to try and diagnose...thanks again

 

the only possible need for resistors in replacing the tail lights with LED retrofits is to eliminate hyper blink caused by the lower current draw of LED setups. it's just a defective tail light

 

same thing happened to my TYC for my tc...they were dim then they went out..vbut my turn and reverse lights still working..i dunno whuts wrong...
