here is my process. i didnt want to litter this thread with 20 huge pictures so i put them as thumbnails... just click to see em. i was originally going to try and use a single peice of urethane cut to size and heat formed to match the contour but that instantly became way to much of a hastle. so i decided to break out the plastic welder and go peace by peace forming and shaping as i went. that worked much better and after about 11 hours i had the filler material on and block out. i used a spare peice of plastic from my old front bumper that had aggresive negotiations with a curb. and the filler material i used was SEM problem bumper repair material. its much sturdier than using normal filler and it wont crack over time and bonds much better to multiple types of bumper material. especially urethane. the only draw back is it smells like crap, spreads like crap and sands like crap. lol. but its worth. then i followed up with 4 heavy coats of primer surfacers. blocked it out 180 320 and 500. followed by a few spot primes... then wet sanded the whole bumper with 1000 grit taking care of of a few other chips and knicks... then re painted with a waterborne paint. im very happy with the end result... what do you guys think?

Looks good. So you have no reverse lights at all? Not sure if your state will fail on visual inspection.

i will be modding my third brake light to have white LEDs every other LED for visual and people behind me. and for actual light ill be mounting a high power LED light bar up underneath the bumper to light up the ground. it wont be visible from the outside.

Post up pictures when you get that done...I would really like to see how that looks. I was thinking about doing something like that but as another break light, kind of like when you see them on truck bumpers...i could possibly have two sets of lights one for breaking and one for reverse...Hmmmmm

so, do you have a replacement? sounds like a liability, and may even be illegal.

Nice job. I always had a beef with Scion for their off center cyclops reverse light. Why couldn't Scion have gone "traditional" and put them in the tail lights like everyone else. Which they did on the 2012 model.
