Just got a "Customer support program notification" letter in the mail from Toyota with reference to vehicles with peeling "Blizzard Peal" or "Super White" paint
see pictures - Our white xB is not peeling BTW.
Nice of them to offer this though. Not sure other companies "warrantee" paint on a vehicle that's 10 years old.
One of the things most notable in the Phoenix area are all the sunburned cars and trucks. You can tell which ones are left outside all the time and which ones get parked in a garage, doesn't matter the make or model. So does this cover sunburn damage or is it just damage caused by the reaction of the paint with the zinc coating on the steel?? Is that where the paint bubbles up from the inside out??
It would be nice if they covered the headlight "glass" as well. Or made that plastic able to withstand the suns rays without turning brown.

I'll say. My tC, side view mirror-cover paint not only dry rotted, the plastic covers started to pit. I figured that even oem touch up wouldn't last so I used spray, matte black truck bed liner. Turn out pretty decent and has already lasted longer than the original finish.
Live in Northeast.....have an xB that is experiencing paint peel...roof, hatch, doors....only has 65k miles....
I went to a local dealership @ 2yrs ago and was told I was out of luck. Didn’t accept answer and started making calls as well as contacting Toyota in writing.
I guess there were enough of us that Toyota investigated it and reversed their position.
