Default Side white LED's in California

I looked under the chp laws for california and it said the front turn signals could be white or amber so i'm changing my front turn signal to white. But then it said the side markers had to be amber only. My question is has anybody who lives in california have white side markers and have they ever been pulled over or ticketed for it. I'm getting my LEDs tomorrow and i'm a little nervous now. What your thoughts on this.

I don't know about LED since they are brighter. but I used regular white bulb on my last car and I haven't got pull over. Beside. it is only going to be a fix-it ticket anyways...i wouldn't worry about it

I haven't been pulled over either, and I live in a city where cops pull a lot of rice rockets over.

Interesting topic being that I just got stopped up here in Oregon for my license plate lights. They are white 4 LED bulbs from superbrightleds. Fortunately the sheriff recognized me and let me go. He said they appear too blue. My friend on the traffic team at my agency looked at them and said they are legal. Would be interesting to get a ticket for it and then have another officer in court to say he inspected them and it is good... :o

Thanks guys for your inputs. I just wanted some confirmation on that because it's a lot of work to take apart the mirror remove the original leds and put in the new ones.

Do it! I live in Daly City where they're full of Filipino ricers like me and the cops don't bother with little things like that. I changed my amber side markers on my Lude over a year ago and never been bothered yet.
