Lightbulb xB 2011 parking lights

Well I'm thinking about changing the small lights that come on when you turn your parking lights on... the ones on the far inside of the headlights. I checked Sylvania on their website but they do not have the 2011 only up to 2010 now I thought ok maybe they are the same so I looked up the bulb for the marker light and it says that its a 1157A bulb yet I checked the bulb online and it looks to big to be the same bulb. Has anyone changed this yet... Im not talking about the turn signal light its the small light on the top of the turn signal lights. So... does anyone know what size bulbs they are?

Thanks

The 2008-10 xB doesn't have that extra little light bulb above the front turn signals, that's one of the changes to the 2011 headlights. Your owners manual should have every single light bulb itemized by type for replacement purposes, like my 2008 manual does.

Ok so the manual did not help me much under bulb number it just has ----- wattage is 5 and the type is a single end bulb, but it does not indicate what size of bulb it is. Is there any one out there that might know what size of bulb this is its for the parking lights on the 2011 Xb.

Have you tried removing the bulb, and checking to see if it has any identifying info on it? Most bulbs have their model # printed on them.

It has...

Toshiba
12V 5W W5W
E2 2J6

Now what type of LED bulb would I need? Because I can't seem to find a E2 2J6 bulb?

I'll have some more questions coming this is my 1st Scion and I love it... I don't even know where to start as far as mods... All I have done right now is just some Xentec 8000K Hids and I have those LED parking lights on their way in and a 12inch Kicker L7.

They are just regular bulbs I picked up when I got the neon kit.
I am definitely going to pick up some LED's. License plate, parking and some interior for map, cargo and courtesy lights.

Can't wait for some LED taillights to come out for the 2011's.

Where in South Texas are you located?

Well... I got some SMD LED's on eBay

for $12.99 plus $2.99 shipping and here they are on my xB...

Without the headlights on.

With headlights on.

It looks a lot better with the white LED's versus the ugly yellow bulbs IMO.

Are they dual color light bulbs? Do they blink amber/yellow when you hit the turn signals? If not, you lose.

Lightbulb

They are not my turn signal lights... they are my parking lights . But I would like to get the dual color LED's for the turn signals but I do not know how the load resistors work I do not want them to hyper-blink.

I lose. lol

So on the 2011, are the parking lights & running lights/turn signals completely independent? Now that you have the little LED's for the top running lights, when are the turn signals lit? Only when the turn signal is on, or do they serve as amber running lights also?

Here's the thread on the V-LED dual color bulbs, with pros & cons of new flasher vs. resistors:

Its ok we all lose someday!
The 2011 xB has separate parking lights and turn signals when the turn signal is not on it does not light up its just off they do not serve as parking lights.

Thanks for the threads on the resistors I’m looking into getting amber LED's for my turn signals I'll let you guys know how they come up once I build up my knowledge on the resistors so I won’t be hyper-blinking all over the place.

Were the threads I posted the links for in post #18 not helpful? Even if you don't need the dual color bulbs, the turn signal thread has a lot of info on the hyper-flashing solutions.

Here's the info on the resistors from V-LEDs:
