2009 Scion XB (4 Cylinder) 0-60
The numbers are indeed all over the place:
For example,
Road & Track: '08 xB M/T - 7.5 secs.
Consumer Reports: '08 xB A/T - 9.4 secs.
(I don't think either one of these statistics is reliable!)

That's weird, because my buddy has a tC that's all stock, and I can't beat him in a 0-60 run. It seems like he is about 1 second ahead of me. We're both auto transmission. His car seems a lot faster than mine. I wonder how we will compare after I do headers, dual exhaust, and intake.
the engines arent exactly the same, but they take the same components
The tC makes slightly more power than the xB2 (both stock) and is also more aerodynamic. The weight ratio front to rear may also be to the tC's advantage.
Thats the other thing i did not mention, little more power and better gearing. I believe in class racing, and my goal for mods was not to beat "faster cars", but it was to separate mine from other xB's. Just like it's not really exciting if I go around racing earlier model xB's.
Now, if a car of another class wants to race me, I'll gladly oblige :D.
Raced a kid in a v6, early 2000 model Taurus, and he lost.

Beat one of these today, quite easily.

He saw me pass around someone on a four lane, and proceeded to drive like a moron and cut me off. Guess he wanted to show the girl in the car how fast it was. I'll admit, for a 97-00 model car, it was quick as I saw him in and out of traffic. I opted to pull up next to him on a hwy on-ramp that starts as two lanes and ends up as one before it hits the interstate. He knew what time it was, and I easily made it to the interstate before he did.

Great part was when I hit the interstate and he had drifted back, I noted I was at 95, so I let off the gas and drifted back to my normal 77 cruising speed. A little while later he came by and blew my doors off. Whatever...
