Alternator Help!

Alternator Help!
Hello. Just need some help. My 09 xB's battery died last night. I bought a new battery and installed it after making sure that the old battery was bad.
This morning, my new battery died. I know that it's the alternator but, my warranty is over. Is there anything I could do?
Please and thank you. Any help will be appreciated.

You are quite lucky tbh.... our alternator is so easy to get to being right near the top of the engine and easy to remove... i say remove it on your own... take it to Autozone or Advanced and have them test it... if it is the alternator... swap it out....I mean you are outta warranty and an alternator especially ours is soo easy to do....save yourself from getting raped on labor and DIY bro!!!

I have a sub and a navi I'm putting in soon. Should I upgrade and get the gold high output alternator? I know it's the alternator because when the car us running and the battery is disconnected, the car shuts down. Can it be something else???

from what I have read on the forums here and on scikotics these xb's are famous for having parts go only after 24k on it ...so I would not doubt it... imo

Well, where can I buy a good alternator? With my subs being installed and my LEDs and navi, I guess I'll go with a better alternator. I've never swapped an alternator out? How hard is it???

DC Power has great product, but to my understanding takes forever to get product from them. Mechman also makes very high quality product. Make sure your battery's at full charge before you install a high output alternator. Otherwise it will kill the alternator fairly quick.
Hopefully this helps. I'd also recommend performing the 'big 3'.

Luckly we share the same engine as the TC (newer yrs) and this write up is on the pulley upgrade but it shows you how to remove the alt.... pictures and all...hope it helps!
Please make sure to disconnect the battery 1st... also since its the alt you wanna remove you can begin at step 7 on thru...good luck
