does anyone have experience with the cams for the xb by brian crower? I just received mine.

Does it cause the check engine light to come on? Do I need to reprogram the ecu?

From what I have heard about them, they are decent cams. Great company to purchase from but they do require some other modifications to the motor for them to work properly and gain beneficial results.

A tune is almost necessary for any type of cam. I owned a Hemi 1500 truck before my xB2 and swapped an SRT8 cam into her. I was able to run her without a tune because it was a stock Mopar cam. My A/F was off a little when running WOT, but headers would have taken care of that issue.

Be on the safe side, get yourself an AEM or Innovative wideband air to fuel monitor, some type of piggyback (I've heard that eManage fights with our computers), and then get yourself dyno tuned.

Good choice for cams, I just wish someone else would pick up on this market and actually develope some decent streetable cams for just daily.

 

Brian Crower already makes a streetable cam. They have a few stages of thier n/a cam. Only with stage three do you need new valvetrain. Someone in the tc section posted thier experience with the stage 2 and said it was hardly noticeable without a tune. To be able to take full advatage of cams on our cars you would need a full standalne but the aem fic shoud surfice.
