Default Checking 5spd oil level

Just picked up a 2012 XB 5spd with 5400 miles on it. Is there a way to check the oil level in the tranny? If so, how? I just want to make sure all fluids are good to go till the next oil change is due. Thanks.

yeah, but I like to do it myself, I don't like putting faith in someone else working on my car.

Sorry for my ignorance, but is it not similar to the AT? There is a dipstick up top between the engine and battery in the engine bay. I am guessing not though, otherwise you would have done so already

Weird if there is no dipstick at all. How often does the manual call for fluid change? ATF is 'lifelong' but I change it every 20K or so (drain/fill). Half the work of an oil change!

Yeah, unfortunately there is no dipstick. I found two plugs on the top of the tranny, one looks like a regular bolt head, the other looks like a bolt head with a raised center, right behind the first one I mentioned. Don't know if one of these are it or not.
