I'm guessing 3-4hp minimum, maybe even more, because that POS tank is sooo restrictive. If you've got a Borla axle-back with no muffler, then you might need to change to an axle-back muffler to keep it quiet enough... just depends on how much exhaust noise you're willing to tolerate.

That exhaust sound would definitely get you pulled over & ticketed in Cali, and maybe an impound fee on top of it all.

I have the borla dual setup, does it sound very loud under normal excel? When I hit it, you know, but I don't think its loud...

There seems to be a lot of topics going on at once here. The borla dual exhaust removes the stock muffler. However is still 50 state emissions legal because it does not modify emissions. The CAT is the last emissions device on the car. All it does is remove the stock muffler and adds a y to dual exhaust. Even without the muffler the noise level is still under 93db. I live in Southern California where cops have a hard on for anything import. I did not once get pulled over for having this exhaust. Even if i did there is nothing they can do. You need to know what to tell the officer without being a punk, he should respect your knowledge. As far as restriction goes our cars and many newer cars arent that bad. Compared to the old days yes! cat and other emission devices robbed horse power. Now days things are better enginered. There may be some performance gain from dicking around with the exhaust. Is it worth spending all the money to get x # of tiny horse power/torque. Now days the only reason really i would modify a exhaust on a newer vehicle is for sound. The other excemption would be making real power and increasing CFM. Simple as that...stay out of trouble, peace!
