Today, I just dropped off my xB for CAI R&D at AEM factory. They said that they'll be putting in a dyno with the CAI upon installation.

I'll be getting back my car on Friday so I'll post dyno result if I get a copy...

 

Any word, on a dyno?

 

They said that there was a gain. not exactly how much though

 

Do you have any pictures? how does it run?

 

i doont have the intake with me right now because i'll be getting one when the production models are oout

Got a quick email response from the VP of Marketing, it won't be available till September.

 

I dropped my car off with them back in June. The intake sounds great....they just never put my car on the dyno b/c I hadn't broke in the engine yet. Let me know what the dyno results are.

^^ can you answer the question of this being 50 state emissions legal? i know the original box has that charcoal like filter in it for emissions...how does this compensate for it?

 

Since each and every state has their own emissions standards, this is almost impossible to answer. Since it is not altering the catalytic converter, which is the most heated form of controversy with respect to emissions, I do not forsee it being illegal.

 

In CA, it doesn't matter if it affects how it runs or not, if it doesn't have a CARB EO#, its not legal. Plain and simple.

 

Just picked up the intake today. Will post some pics later tonight!

 

If your so worried about it being carb legal then go trd. but if you want more power then go AEM.

 

I was merely stating legality. AEM usually ponies up the $$$ to get that cert as well.
