I'm going to install my exhaust myself. How do i check to see if it is leaking after install? I bought a torque wrench/ratchet (whatever) so that i tighten everything correctly.

 

If you pass out from carbon monoxide while driving, then it is leaking.

 

just make sure everything is snug, you will hear the leak if you have one. you really dont need a tork wrench, just a good rachet.

 

start your car, plug up the exhaust tip, if it stalls out, your exhaust is sealed, if it leaks, it will continue to rum.

 

I don't think I'd try this method. That pressure has to go somewhere and back through the engine is not good.

After installing the exhaust start the car and move your hand around the connections. Do this quickly after starting the car so if you accidentally touch the exhaust it will not burn you. If it's leaking you'll feel the gases pushing out and in many cases you'll hear them.
