Personally I prefer IPT because I've used their service before.

Level10 does some good work. They're one of the only companies that modifies import valve bodies.

A bit of a shameless plug for myself, but search for automatic transmission build up guide or something along those lines. There's a bit of things that you would want to do to ensure the life of your transmission.

Also, Raysbestos does make high energy friction plates for the u241e transmission from Toyota.

Thanks for the info. That IPT transmission cost a good grip of money. I will contact them to see what sort of power it can take.

I just went with the Level Ten full rebuild Both level ten and IPT are both about the same price. I decided to go with Level Ten after researching both. Their customer service is amazing, took 3 days rebuilding the tranny and then had it shipped out on the 3rd day. Amazing amazing service. The tranny they told me will hold up to 500WHP with a cooler if you ared doing the full rebuild + torque converter.
You can find out more about their tranny and what it looks like on the Fastscions.com / Level Ten Rebuild post near the top. Also have pictures of the tranny.

I couldn't find that forum post but thats fine. When you do the install just let me know what you think of the rebuild and if it's worth the money.

Default Level 10 - Bad Valve Body

I see some good reviews about these guys, and this is why i went with them, but my experience has been terrible!

I had sent a valve body in to be modified and these guys put a spacer in one of the valves to increase line pressure. The spacer was so big it stopped the valve from opening fully, causing my transmission to get low line pressure. -

When I contacted Pat the owner, he said they would never have done that, that some one else did! But the funny thing is NO one ever went in the valve body except Level 10

I had to pay thousands of dolars to the local dealer to get the problem rectified that Level Ten Transmissions created!

These guys don't know what they are doing!!

I am sorry for your problems =( All i can tell you is i have not had one single problem with my level ten. I hate to say it, but all you did was buy a valve kit, and have someone else put it in =/ instead of level ten. I shipped them my whole transmission and had it done right. In their defense Pat has been there for any single phone call i have had. I also have not had one issue with anything as far as the tranny goes. Shifts perfect and crisp. Again i did not just buy the upgrades and have someone else put it together. I had them do the whole thing. If your going to do something do it right! Hard to talk bad about a company when you only use 15 percent of them. Again i am sorry for the issues you had.

Well i am located in Barbados in the Caribbean, so it is hard for me to send the entire transmission up.

The reason i went with Level 10 is i read some great reviews and this is when i decided.

So i discussed with Pat and he said not a problem they do loads of valve bodies, just send it up and they will do modifications in day and send back.

I also bought an upgraded rebuild kit from them which the Isuzu dealer did as well.

In there defence they did the valve body in one day and sent it right back, so they were very quick and up to this point i could call Pat about anything.

As soon as the error codes started coming on since the dealer put the valve body in, Pat then was always out with a customer to talk, he would only be available on email, and would never take my phone calls.

Pat was on holiday when my valve body was done, so maybe it just was not done right when he was not there!

But Pat could have been honest with me and said look send it up and we will review free of cost, but he did not even do that!

So what i will say is maybe 75% of the stuff is good, but they have a 25% that is not done perfect and if you are that 25% dont look to get any help from them

Just did some hard pulls last night, had to been pushing 300 hp at least, and no slippage, no overheat issues (now that i have tranny cooler installed) Tranny holds wheels dont =P Still seems very solid. Its just hard to say its one company when they did not install it. I reall really feel your pain. It was 200 shipping from west coast to east coast. I would hate to imagine from the carribean =/
