You could run a muffler like this instead of the resonator/cat:

And use the proper cat. I'm not sure which one would be "proper", though. :?

 

i removed the resonator and replaced it with these


sounds louder....sounds pretty okay

 

well i got a borla axle back on there right now so theres no muffler and if i removed that monstrousity and replaced it with a muffler id be running that one cat on the stock header..for now...and that would be it.
between the blue lights, tints, radar dectortor and this neon green hat i always wear. im kinda a target. littly bit so i wanna keep it as legal as i can plus i dont wanna run into trouble on inspections

 

Zsanz, can you replace the scuba tank with a high flow cat and a glasspack? I have no idea if there is enough room for both.

27 inch stock w.e u wanna call it cat/muffler/resonator give or take an inch or two cuz theres a little space on the other end of it.
Smallest glass pack ive seen is 12 inches

I don't know if I'd go with a glass pack. I'm sure it'll work, but I'd be iffy about the rasp of it. Last vehicle I worked on with glasspacks was a 64 Continental. But that was a 360 V8 and that's that...

I'm still thinking a Magnaflow would fit under there quite well and sound good!
