Default better shifting!

i know a lot of you have already changed your manual tranny oil to get better shifting. i did this with royal purple at around 5000mi and it got a bit better. got the trd shift kit and nst bushings and it improved a bit. it still wasn't where i wanted it... expecially when its cold outside. last week i decided to give redline MT-90 a shot. WOW its like butta!!! now, seeing as redline did such a great job with the tranny, i'm thinking of swapping to their oil, too. (using royal purple).

just wanted to let you all know that i've had great success with redline!

there are 2 plugs on the tranny. both are the same size (24mm or 15/16" i think) one faces the drivers side at the bottom of the tranny. the other is on the front and has a sticker on it that says to refer to the owners manual. loosen top plug and pull the bottom one. then loosen top one to allow the vacuum to release allowing the fluid to come out faster. once done, re torque bottom one and leave top one out. the best way to do it is a long piece of hose and a funnel. run the hose/funnel down from the engine bay and insert into top plug. fill till fluid just starts to come out the top plug. to check, stick a finger in there like a dip stick. once its full (almost 3qts) reinstall the top plug and re torque it. clean it up, look for leaks and enjoy.

glad to hear that you got it done and got the same results. its amazing how normal the shift feels until you do something to make it better...
