I want to see someone dyno the tenzo against the weapon r or aem and you will find neglegible results. Yes weapon R is a good company but it is what it is. A tube with a filter. I got my Tenzo for 110 shipped awhile ago on eBay and put a k&n filter on it and it's great! Easy install too!

exactly! just a tube and the filter, the only thing that really matters is the filter, thats the only quality thing, the pipe is just a pipe, same size, same crap, u can get tenzo and just change the filter

is there any type of bypass valve or anything i should buy when i get an intake?

i had an AEM CAI on my integra years ago and went through a water puddle on my road in the rain.. it sucked water in the intake and bent a rod >_<

someone said if i had a bypass valve that wouldn't have happened.. do these come with that or do i need to purchase that seperately?

i can vouch for the tenzo r cai i have it and its just like any other 3 in. cai, i went with it because of the price and i couldn't be any more happier, its gotta really low tone and opens up around 3500rpm, it kinda reminds me of the whale ***** intake i had on my honda back in the days, it's gotta pretty deep tone.

^he said ***** lol.
no more comments about this "buy a cheap intake and change the filter" crap, its making me sick. congratulations on ur purchases, now lets stop repeating this comment a million times and get to some real talk.
Slody4Futbol, heres a link for an air bypass valve by AEM
http://www.aemintakes.com/air_bypass_valve.htm
I had this on my 1st gen xb, dont have on my 2nd gen and dont think you should have any problems with water getting in because of where the filter is, but it doesnt hurt to be safe i guess

How did you guys take off the lower clip for the OEM intake hose? It's really hard to get it out without taking front bumper off.

IIRC I took a flat screwdriver and pried it off. Luckily it's just a plastic push-pin.

Broke the dame push-pin using cutter, and without taking bumper off, kind of tricky but it's done, installed Tenzo CAI, with AEM Dryflow filter, sound goes louder and deeper after 3K rpm, feels like more HP and great.

Now go get the CAI vent for the front bumper. It opens up the space right in front of the Intake and gives MORE AIR!!!! and it only costs 5 $!!!

I wouldn't do that, cos if it rains, the water will get to the filter, unlike TRD one that has a box covers the filter, Tenzo R pushes the filter a little forward.

I disagree with that, i have the tenzo r intake with the TRD vent and if you are looking straight back from the vent you cant see the filter at all. The filter is to the side enough that it wont get but a few drops on it. I live in florida and i have driven through some bad thunderstorms without any problems. Now deep water that will submerge the filter... Thats where you have problems.

Chris

Btw I have a scan guage and the intake temps while driving are never more than 4 or 5 degrees above the ambient temperture. Depends on speed though, at 70 the temps about the same.

All this talk about buying quality at higher price is kinda funny, seeing how our cars are sub $18,000 economy box.

And people criticizing people for paying another $100 for (perceived) few more HP are the same people who spent $100 for (perceived) few HP over stock.

i just went on ebay and bought mine.. sort by lowest price.. and go from there man

now however i did buy the air bypass valve from AEM and it wouldn't work, there are flares on the edge of the pipe and it bends the bypass valve outward and won't let me tighten the clamps.. oh well.. i think i'll be fine.. is anyone running a bypass valve?

yeah.. www.ebay.com

search for 08 xb intake tenzo

no i don't have a DIY.. and the tenzo did not come with instructions.. i figured it all out by taking everything on the intake apart and putting it back together.. but i just found this after i looked around on other companies' sites that make intakes...

AFAIK the best air filters are AEM dry-flow.
