Default Torque Solution Front Motor Mount / TS-XB-002

Will be installing this block of beauty Sat. What a sweet looking part
I run all their mounts on my race EVO & wanted to reduce the engine roll on the XB
Ive done enough reading to note it will increase NVH but can I live w/it? Ill let you know. If its too harsh I can always add some buffering holes in the PU bushing. Its has a durometer rating of 75

Just wanted to share the overall good looks of a well made motor mount

Its In!!!

Impressions. First off, XB Automatic. You will feel it at idle in drive. Driving its almost un-noticeable. Wheel hop eliminated accelerating from a stop into a hard right hand turn

As noted, its a bit buzzy in the seat at idle in drive, but I dont see myself removing it.

Labor time 1 hour. Put XB on ramps & removed battery. Remove the 3 bolts holding mount. Having no torque values to follow, I used 50ft lbs for the lower 2 bolts & 60ft lbs for the horizontal bolt

What do you mean by buzzy is it a sound or do you actually feel a vibration or both?

Well, after running it today w/the AC on, the vibration was a bit harsh, stopped at idle in drive.

I ended up removing the mount & drilling the bushing to reduce the stiffness. It may have helped a bit but still too much vibration, stopped at idle in drive w/ AC on

At this point cant really recommend it for the auto XB

I have the shaking problem randomly with the ac on in idle. I think it started after the i got the same intake you have. I have stock motor mounts.

My DC Intake was vibrating as well. I tried small sections of rubber tubing but they kept falling out. Im temporarily using a piece of sponge that has lasted & has stopped the vibrating. The intake is rubbing on that ground stud. My guess is this is what is causing your problem

I don't think my intake is doing the shaking. Maybe causing it. But the whole block can shake. I'll try to catch it on video. New thread for this?

Do you have an auto or manual. If it is an auto does it vibrate in neutral?

I have a Auto and no it doesnt vibrate on Neutral kinda gets annoying at times if I pay attention to it alot. Tought it might need new motor mounts but got no idea abt motors. Im trying to learn things here on how to minimize that vibration

Well, in drive, all engines will vibrate a bit. Not sure how bad yours is. I started the thread because of the front mount modification which does not work on an auto XB ($100.00 lesson learned =(

Anyway, you may need to have this looked at by an experienced Toyota mechanic

Are you looking to sell your mount since it didn't work well in your automatic?

I still have it. The issue which makes it less than brand new is that I drilled the poly bushing to soften it up. The billet alum is pristine

Let me know if interested

Default Torque Solution TS-XB-002 Front Engine Mount: Scion XB 2008-1

Anyone know where I can buy a Torque Solution TS-XB-002 Front Engine Mount: for a 2nd gen xB? My FRSport order was cancelled (no longer available). I guess Torque Solutions has phased them out. Is there a vendor that might have left-overs? Or, is there a good alternative? My xB's motor is pretty jumpy and the stock mounts seem rather meek.

Do you still have it? What are you asking for it? Cheers
