Default question about the gen1 maf sensor fitting gen2

would a generation 1 xb short ram intake work on a gen 2? what i mean is, are the piping sizes the same, and would the mass air flow sensor fit in the whole on the pipe from gen1, cuz i have a bunch of old intake piping laying around and wanted to make a custom cold air intake with it, but i need to mount the maf in somewhere along the way. and the gen 1 short ram intake is so damn cheap ($25) on ebay. any info would be greatly appreciated

Posting the same question in two different places won't get it answered any faster.

I hope somebody can give you the answer you seek in the other posting in the Drivetrain & Power forum, where it belongs.

Not flaming, just saying... good luck with it, wish you the best.

No problem, since the other is in the right spot & getting responses, this one will probably get locked.

yea i know that, but as long as the hole for the sensor is the same, i could tap my own screw holes into it and do what i want....would you happen to have a gen 1?

When you registered on the site, you acknowledged that you read and would abide by the "site rules". One of them is not posting the same question in multiple threads, it's considered spamming. One of the Moderators or Super Mods will lock the offending thread. If you put up a posting in what they consider the wrong thread, they can also move it. It's all for the good of the site.

This is a perfect example of why they don't like it, you've now got responses to the same question in two different threads.

No problem, we're all here to help, well... most of us anyway.

Time to read the rules maybe?
