Im turbed pushing 5 lbs of boost on an ebay turbo. what an ebay turbo. I got my kit for 1100 on ebay, (godspeed t3t4 turbo) installed it myself and bought the emanage for 700 and had a few little pieces fabrocated and the car tuned for another 700. So i spent 2500 all said and done and i put down 252 to the wheels with an auto trany. My suggestion to you would be to not listen to most of the dumbass kids on line and do some research and not spend 5,000 for a kit. Im not saying just buy any ebay kit but look around and keep it open as an option. good luck to u man

2500, lol, good luck man, just remember you get what you pay for. For 5000 you usually wont need any extra fabrication. I had an ebay kit godspeed to big pos, nothing fit right turbo lasted but wg and bov took a ____(diaphram ripped). With what I spent making stuff fit and work properly I could have got a decent kit and saved my self alot of headaches. As many of us dumb online kids will tell you get what you pay for. You can build a nice kit with quality parts for under 5000 but 2500(with fuel management) good luck.

yea cory, you got a damn sweet set up, i love the color matched pipes. it just looks like it belongs in there. If I remember right though, you're not tuned yet right? and your running about 5 lbs of boost?

My plan is to run about 7 lbs until i can get a good boost controller. My cousin has one in his tc that gives him 7 lbs in 1st and 2nd, then it ups it to 10 lbs in 3rd 4th and 5th. so once i get a boost controller i'd like to up the boost just like that to 10. We'll see though. I still gotta get all the other parts first.

PS, ebay turbo + 5 lbs of boost on the t3/t4 + auto tranny is not going to amount to 252 to the wheels.

Again I'll go back to my cousin who was dynoed in his tc at 7 lbs of boost on the t3/t4 making 242 whp.

I don't like to doubt people, but unless you can show numbers that support you're argument sciontc05123 i don't believe you.

Thanks for posting the link up. I havent really been looking at the forums. Yea, we unfortunately didnt have time to color match or polish the ic piping due to time constraints on the project. We ordered the TT kit in May and didnt get the parts until October after being told it would be 6 weeks at the max. Then we never got any ic piping, so that all had to be bent up a few days before the car was suppose to be finished. But all in all, it was a nice kit... Car moved out pretty well..

some useful info so far... ebay turbo? umm pass for me personally cause like other people have said, you get what you pay for!! I wanna see some pics of dynoed numbers if anybody has them with turbo
I was working on a tacoma yesterday and he had the local toyota dealer install the TRD supercharger, and I was rather dissappointed... as far as I know (and correct me if Im wronne) it is the same setup for the most part and it added a ton of torch, but not much in the HP. Besides the turbo lag on turbos, why are people doing the factory supercharger instead of turbos?? TURBO FTW IMO!

^^ya I wanted to know if there was any other advantages to that SC verses the turbos. like I said turbo lag kinda sucks, but the sound of a turbo seems more attractive to me, but the warranty is a huge ordeal for me... just want some opinions on turbo vs factory sc

Alright, I'm the guy that's gonna be helping homerhitta with his turbo.

It's coming down to it and he should be buying everything this week.

So here's a couple of questions:

Does anybody have the ECU pinout??
and
Does anybody know if the tc plug and play injectors will fit in the 08 xb?

Thanks guys
