supercharger ventilation
Picked up the LED daytime running lights. The passenger side is simply a solid pop out panel, but the driver side is vented for the CAI.
Question: if I install the LED strip and thus cover the opening, will it adversely effect performance? Or even worse, void the warranty?

no. it shouldn't at all. if your worried about warranyy issue (this would not effect the s/c at all. U can always put the stocks back in before a visit. but no. it shouldn't affect anything
Sorry to have to disagree with DJ but covering the only vent that supplies cold air to your CAI will absolutely decrease performance. Especially as the TRD SC has no intercooler. Your IAT will be higher meaning less air density, less oxygen, less hp and an increased chance of detonation. How much blocking this vent will affect performance or engine longevity is anyone's guess but I'm 100% certain that doing so will be detrimental.
I for one would never do it. In fact, I even removed my FIG grilles from the bumper vents so that more cool air flows to my SMIC and air filter. I'm thinking about cutting some more bumper away to improve air flow even more.
BTW, welcome to the forum! It's good to have another boosted brother around here.

i actually will have to agree with fred. I forgot you said supercharger. If it was just a regular CAi n/a like me. the vents make little to no difference. you are moving a considerable more amount of air than me.
