Default *UPDATED*Custom sub and amp installed

I changed my original boring set up and had a local shop fabricate a box utilizing the spare tire area. I was hesitant at first to drop the spare, but they talked me into it. The 10" sub is slightly angled toward the driver's side in a fiberglass enclosure that looks like silver carbon fiber (sort of). The amp is under plexiglass in the same type of fiberglass and LEDs light it up. The stock rear mat was reinforced and had carpet added underneath the support to hide it. I love the results.

Here are some more pics after the side panel covers were completed today. Also, added way better foot well lighting front and back. The last pic of the sub is enhanced obviously.

That looks great!

do you have a cover for the sub, just curious if your worried about putting anything in the back over it.

it does look great, sounds like he has plexiglass covering the amp, is the sub covered in plexi as well with the carpet over that.

Mind me asking what that set up cost you with the custom design?

What they did was take the stock mat (not factory cover) and reinforced it with perforated wood. They then affixed black carpet to the under side of that to conceal, therefore allowing me use of my trunk. Now I will say it will not be hauling bricks or anything notably heavy without another little piece of masonite that is being cut for those rare home depot runs. Also, there actually is no plexi covering the sub, only the amp. I have an old Toyota truck I use for doing any sort of hauling or Home Depot runs anyway.

Believe it or not, this entire set up (without the amp and sub) was $450 installed. I already had bought the amp and sub at another shop before being introduced to this guy. Next week the small pockets along each side and the tool bins will be covered to match.

Eugene, Oregon. It was a bit of a deal I would say too. He originally quoted me that and stuck with it even though he went over time and money budget. He is a friend of a friend so it was also one of those deals. Two days work and I feel I pretty much got a smoking deal.
