Default 2015 xB, moving USB slot from center console?

How easy or difficult of a move would this be? I have my phone mounted to the left of my steering wheel and would like to move the usb/aux port from inside the center console to down here.

Would I be better off just buying a new one, unplugging the one and plugging in the new one? This would be for the stock head unit as well.

Or would I be better off just picking up a charging port I could wire to something and use bluetooth? If this option, what would I look to wire into?

Hello,

That should be super easy. Lengthen the cable (splice and add) and voila. Route it and you should be ok.

In retrospect, I should have gotten some pictures to make a good DIY of it. I guess I can always go back and rip the stuff out again if need be lol.

But the project wasn't too difficult! I opted to just use the existing cable and relocate it. Removed the center console and shifter dash area. Had to cut some tape in order to pull it back through. Pulled off the lower front dash to access the plug point. But overall, the hardest part was just time.
