Default Behind the Stock Stereo

I am going to replace my stock stereo with a new one DIY. Before I do that, I wanted to see what I am dealing with by taking by out the stereo. I found this black box behind the stereo and wondering what it is. If any of you know what this box is, please let me know. The wire harness to the box is strapped with the wire harness to the stereo. There was a label on the box had a FCC ID code on it. I have searched the net, but didn't search hard enough Thanks in advance

I found out that the black box behind the stereo was part of a Blu Logic Hands Free Calling System.

so just buy a wiring harness for it and call it a day... the best upgrade is the alpine unit that comes in the xb from factory... its touch screen and just as nice as anything you are going to install and is plug and play

Last time I installed a stereo, it was time consuming; matching the stock wire harness to the stereo wire got kinda confusing. But for my first try, the stereo worked.

This time I bought the wiring harness. It was 10 times easier and faster than w/o the harness.

I didn't know there was a stock Alpine unit for the Xb. I would probably consider that HU. Instead, I got the Pioneer AVH-3500. All around great stereo.
